Matt Zipchen is the President of Efficiency Capital - a developer and investor in energy efficiency projects that was originally incubated by The Atmospheric Fund to accelerate the flow of 3rd party capital into the retrofit economy. In 2021 Matt won a Clean50 award in the Financial & Services Organizations category for his work at Efficiency Capital. Prior to this, Matt was General Manager of SolarShare, one of Canada’s first solar energy co-operatives that has raised and deployed over $70M into community owned solar PV projects. Matt holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Public Policy and has over two decades of experience in green building consulting, renewable energy development and alternative financing of low-carbon projects.
