Gillian has a wide range of experience in leading programs and projects to accelerate energy efficiency and greenhouse gas emission reduction in the municipal, commercial office, retail, post -secondary and multi-residential sectors. She has developed of public and private sector strategic plans to achieve low-carbon goals, stakeholder engagement, effective program design, and implementation.

At Climate Challenge Network, she leads programs aimed at helping public organizations achieve their energy and greenhouse gas emission goals through collective learning, data-driven insights, recognition of excellence and peer networking.

Gillian was the executive lead on national pilots conducted for Canada Green Building Council across commercial offices, schools and governments prior to the introduction of LEED for Existing Buildings certification in Canada. She chaired the Collaboration Committee for Civic Action’s Race to Reduce, a large-scale, collaborative program among landlords and tenants aiming to substantially improve the energy and environmental performance of office buildings. She helps represent BOMA at the Ontario Energy Board.
