Abhi is a Research Associate at Efficiency Canada, with over a decade of experience helping communities across the US and Canada use clean and efficient energy to reduce energy poverty. His data-driven approach to building civic engagement on energy efficiency and energy poverty has earned him wide recognition including being named a ‘40 Under 40 Energy Leader’ by the Midwest Energy News and a Canada Storyteller Award by SSHRC-CRSH. Abhi holds a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Master’s degrees in physics and Computer Science, and is currently completing a PhD in Geography at the University of Guelph researching the multilevel governance of building retrofits for reducing energy poverty in Canada. Abhi lives in Guelph, Ontario.
