SOFIAC is a new private sector initiative with 200M$ financing capacity. It enables businesses to increase their energy performance and reduce both their GHG emissions and operating costs without the need of any upfront investment. Clients benefit from positive cash flows as of project implementation completion. SOFIAC is structured with anchor equity and debt investors such as Fondaction, the Canadian Infrastructure Bank (CIB) and Fiera Capital, and received the support of NRcan for its deployment throughout Canada.
