Annik Desmarteau is Vice President, Offices, Quebec. In this capacity, she is responsible for the operating activities of approximately 4 million ft2 of office space in Ivanhoé Cambridge’s Quebec portfolio, including Place Ville Marie, Édifice Jacques-Parizeau and Édifice Price. An important part of her mandate is to establish and maintain sound relationships with clients and to foster positive experiences at the buildings to ensure tenant retention.
Ms. Desmarteau has managed commercial real estate for more than 25 years and has extensive expertise in the Montreal market. She has worked for Ivanhoé Cambridge since 1996, holding various positions until becoming Vice President, Offices, Quebec, in 2019. The Ring, Montreal's new iconic landmark, is a flagship project to which she has contributed. It’s also her most recent and spectacular achievement at IC. Other recent accomplishments include close collaboration with Le Cathcart Restaurants et Biergarten, which is part of the Place Ville Marie revitalization project, the central component of Projet Nouveau Centre, a $1-billion-plus investment by Ivanhoé Cambridge to renew Montrealers’ experience of downtown Montreal. In carrying out this mandate, she led initiatives to find and implement innovative solutions for all Montreal properties, while encouraging crossfunctional discussion and employee engagement.
Ms. Desmarteau holds a Bachelor of Arts with a major in public relations from Université Laval and a minor in human resources from the Université du Québec à Montréal with a specialization in communications.
As an active member of the industry, Ms. Desmarteau has been involved with BOMA Québec for several years and is the outgoing President of the organization. She also serves as President of its Building Energy Challenge Governance Committee.
