André-Yanne Parent is a mobilization and climate change expert, with fifteen years of experience working with regional, national & international development organizations. She specializes in developing strategy, programming, engagement resources and coalitions for crucial climate change solutions with key stakeholders, organizations, all levels of government and the public. Passionate about environmental justice and dedicated to empowering people to be catalysts of change in their communities, André-Yanne joined The Climate Reality Project Canada (CRPC) team as Executive Director in March 2019. The Canadian branch of the international organization, founded by Al Gore advances solutions to the climate crisis by empowering Canadian citizens from all walks of life to become leaders in their communities, has tripled in size, outreach, and impact under her leadership. CRPC was one of the 2022 Canada’s Clean50 Top Projects awardees for its citizen-led and data-driven yearly project: The National Climate League Standings. André-Yanne holds a Master's degree in Anthropology from the Université de Montréal. She teaches a course entitled "Climate Change & Justice", offered in the Certificate in International Cooperation at the Faculty of Continuing Education of the Université de Montréal. She is on the board of Mission Inclusion and the Montreal Regional Environmental Council. André-Yanne has been appointed on the Canadian Environment Domestic Advisory Group (CEDAG) in 2022 and has previously served on the Canadian Commission for UNESCO and the City of Montreal Women Council. André-Yanne was selected in La Presse's Top 30 Under 30.
