Leading PCL Toronto’s Building Revitalization division, Mark carries operational responsibility for all projects undertaken by the division. He manages a dedicated team of professionals focused on providing clients with highly customizable solutions to specialized buildings, carbon retrofits, renovations and revitalization work including projects containing heritage components. Mark is actively spearheading the effort to help clients achieve their 2050 net zero targets by way of deep carbon and energy retrofits and other specialized asset revitalizations.
Prior to taking the lead in Building Revitalization, Mark led PCL’s Special Projects division. With over 21 years of experience in the construction industry and over 15 years at PCL, Mark has been involved in a wide range of projects, providing employees with an experienced perspective on project management, meticulous attention to detail and a strategic leadership style. Some of the recent and remarkable work under Mark’s portfolio include Scotiabank Arena Rebranding and Venue Reimagination projects; Fairmont Royal York Decarbonization; and façade and lobby revitalization of 95 Wellington office building. He is also a part of the team working at 2 Queen Street West where important in-situ heritage restoration is taking place.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Engineering Sciences in structural engineering from the University of Western Ontario, and received his Professional Engineer status (P.Eng.) in 2007. Mark is the 2014 Toronto district recipient of PCL’s esteemed Robert Stollery Construction Leadership Award and exhibits the characteristics of leadership as an executive board member for Young Leaders in Infrastructure. His leadership is further honed as a graduate of PCL’s flagship and intensive Peter Greene Leadership Course aimed at high-potential leaders.
