Sharon has worked for 15 years+ in the not-for-profit community support, health and environmental sectors, in the Ottawa region, the bulk of that time managing and developing innovative community programs in climate and health. She has developed and procured funding for nine new project initiatives in the social support and environmental sectors, including five projects in the last three years with EnviroCentre. Sharon is one of the driving forces behind the Future Homes Ottawa project, a project working to pilot Ottawa’s first small residential mass deep retrofit. The EnviroCentre team, led by Sharon, are the leading experts in the region on home energy efficiency project development and delivery. Their work has supported the retrofits of over 12,000 homes in Eastern Ontario and has affected annual emissions reductions of more than 17,000 tonnes/year from the residential sector.
