Speaker Bio
Yasmin Abraham is the President and Co-Founder of Kambo Energy Group, a social enterprise advancing energy equity and housing improvements in historically underprioritized communities across Canada and the Pacific Northwest. For over 15 years, Kambo’s flagship programs—Empower Me, the Home Upgrades Program, and Community Power—have filled critical gaps in environmental education, energy retrofits, and Indigenous housing support.
A recognized leader in equity-based energy and climate programming, Yasmin collaborates with governments and utilities across North America to design inclusive, community-led solutions. She holds an MBA from UBC’s Sauder School of Business, a certificate in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell, and serves on several advisory councils, including Efficiency Canada, the Building Decarbonization Alliance, and the Affordability Action Council.
Under her leadership, Kambo has built a team that reflects the communities it serves—83% of staff identify as visible minority, immigrant, and/or multilingual, and 59% are women—demonstrating a deep commitment to representation and impact.
