Jon is Senior Business Development Manager at Vancity Community Investment Bank (VCIB) and leads the Climate Finance Teams’ efforts to originate and structure new loans as well as spearhead Climate Finance’s growth strategy and pipeline development. He is an investment professional and CFA charterholder with deep experience in clean energy and project finance, as well as a career path that demonstrates a strong commitment to impact. Prior to his role at VCIB he spent 6 years at InfraCo Africa, a climate and impact focused financial institution investing in projects and companies across sub-Saharan Africa. In his roles as Business Development Manager and Senior Investment Manager he originated new opportunities, led transactions, sat on portfolio company boards, and actively supported the project development cycle. Prior to that role he managed microfinance programs in Guatemala, Honduras and Sierra-Leone. He holds an MSc in Physics from the University of Waterloo, an MSc in Economics from Trinity College Dublin and a CFA certificate in ESG investing.
