Jim Kobialko is a Manager for the Innovative Technologies & Projects team at FortisBC.  FortisBC is a combined electric and gas utility serving over 1 million customers across British Columbia, Canada.  Jim has been with FortisBC for over 13 years and leads a team evaluating DSM technologies which could directly or indirectly result in significant reductions of energy use within FortisBC’s service territory. What he enjoys most about his work, is being able to push the envelope of energy efficiency, drive innovation and support the reduction of B.C.’s carbon footprint such as deep energy retrofits, thermal heat pumps and hybrid heating solutions.  Over his tenure, Jim has evaluated over 300 technologies, conducted 25 pilots and transitioned 30 technologies for inclusion into full scale rebate programs.
