Building Decarbonization Alliance
Description
The Building Decarbonization Alliance (BDA) is Canada’s leading voice for building electrification. A non-partisan and cross-sector coalition, we work with 200+ Partner organizations from across the country to inspire and inform industry and government leadership, accelerate market transformation, and change the narrative on building heat.
We reach beyond rhetoric to engage with evidence and science, helping put in place the conditions for effective policy and increasing awareness of the benefits of decarbonized all-electric buildings. Our analysis has examined electrification from many angles, from policy tools to grid impacts, all ground-tested by a network of partners spanning industry, utilities, civil society, and government. We’ve convened leaders for in-depth conversations at our inaugural National Building Decarbonization Forum in April, 2024. And we’ve recently launched our most ambitious analytical tool—the BDA-OSM, an open-sourced model providing a useful, transparent, bottom-up view of end-use energy use in Canada’s commercial and residential building sector.
If you’re interested in moving the needle on building decarbonization, visit us at Booth 18 to learn how to become a part of our Alliance.
