Daryl is the President and CEO of the Greater Toronto Apartment Association (GTAA), representing the owners and managers of more than 150,000 units in purpose-built rental apartments across the Greater Toronto Area. GTAA’s membership also includes hundreds of suppliers specializing in the provision of goods and services required by multifamily housing providers.
Concurrently, he is President and CEO of GTAA’s Charitable Foundation – CRA Registered Charity – which donates more than $150,000 each year to local organizations assisting with housing, and provides $20,000/year in scholarships for young residents. More than $2 million has been donated, with essentially no operating costs (no paid staff, or overhead).
He has run GTAA for more than a decade. Prior to this, Daryl spent twelve years as a consultant serving clients in ecommerce, telecommunications, and procurement. Further back, he worked for a Toronto Councillor for two terms – including the first iteration of the new amalgamated City of Toronto.
