Lynne J Strickland, is a Director with CHBA’s Net Zero Housing team, and works on initiatives that strive for scalable Net Zero solutions. Lynne is currently the Project Lead for the Natural Resources Canada funded RD&D project “Towards cost-effective net-zero energy ready residential renovations”. This initiative has engaged with 13 municipalities and governments, as well as dozens of project teams from across Canada, representing the Yukon, BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario and Nova Scotia. Objectives of this initiative is to focus on building industry capacity through 100-150 deep energy retrofits and CHBA Net Zero Renovations.
Prior to joining CHBA National in 2022, Lynne worked as a senior construction project manager on Parliament Hill with the Centre Block Rehabilitation Program overseeing heritage removals, room by room BIM recording and designated substances abatement. Lynne’s work throughout her career has revolved around the built environment, from residential, to commercial and institutional.
Lynne’s background is as a project management professional, indoor air and environmental quality investigator, as well as Registered Interior Designer. As a strong proponent for lean, integrated design, Lynne leverages her education and experience in the built environment – from sick buildings to WELL AP – to guide efforts towards solutions that address both current and future needs of owner, occupant, industry, and sustainable business practices.
