Bettina is the Board Chair of Sustainable Buildings Canada and a Sustainability Facilitator specialized in promoting comfort, health, wellbeing and belonging in the built environment. Her work is focused on the “P of People” in the 3Ps of sustainable building.
Bettina is a Subject Matter Expert on Indoor Environmental Quality for Sustainable Buildings Canada and founding member of the GreenBuildingLearningZone.org, a green building consumer education collaborative. Bettina created and runs two boot camps for SBC: the week-long Better Buildings Boot Camp for graduate and diploma students to experience the Integrated Design Process; and the Better Condos Boot Camp, a day-long in-person program for Toronto condo owners, board members and property managers, improving their knowledge and attitudes towards getting their building ready for Toronto 2040. Bettina regularly lectures and speaks about health and well-being in the built environment and mentors student at colleges and universities throughout Canada.
An avid traveler, Bettina has lived and worked in the US, Germany, Spain, Bahamas, Uruguay and Canada. In her spare time, she plays bridge, dances, and is an avid volunteer.
