Since 2022, Margot has been part of IBC’s policy department on the Climate Change and Catastrophic Risk team, focusing on climate adaptation and sustainable finance.
In that time, she has helped develop recommendations for Climate Proof Canada’s National Adaptation Summit, led IBC’s Sustainable Finance Working Group in responding to emerging requirements for climate disclosures, and facilitated advocacy for adaptation and personal property measures.
Margot has a decade of experience working in the public and private sectors. She has served as a political assistant in the Premier of Ontario’s office in addition to various roles for both federal and provincial environment Ministers. She has also held a policy analyst role at The Atmospheric Fund and interned at Natural Resources Canada’s Office of Energy Efficiency. She holds a Masters of Development Practice from the University of Waterloo.
