Mr. Murahashi began his finance career at UBS Investment Bank in Tokyo as a sell-side equity research analyst, covering the Property Sector and REITs. His research team, led by a distinguished Institutional Investor Magazine Hall of Fame inductee, achieved a No. 1 ranking for three consecutive years during his tenure. At Tokio Marine Property Investment Management Inc., Mr. Murahashi contributed to the due diligence of AIG’s $10 billion USD real estate and CMBS portfolio in Japan. In Canada, he managed multifamily portfolios for various pensions at GWL Realty Advisors and QuadReal, most recently a $3 billion CAD Ontario portfolio owned by BCI and RBC Global Asset Management. Mr. Murahashi holds an MBA from Schulich School of Business. He is a CFA charter holder.
