Sarah Syed is a youth climate justice activist from Canada and a member of the United Nations Habitat Youth Advisory Board. With a passion for climate education, policy advocacy, and intergenerational collaboration, Sarah has worked extensively with non-profits to develop youth-centered environmental programs. Notably, she co-organized the Top 25 Under 25 Environmentalists in Canada program, which
supports young leaders with funding and mentorship, and co-led the Youth Changemakers Summit. In addition, Sarah designed the first youth engagement strategy for the Bay Area Climate Change Council (Burlington/Hamilton), marking the Council's first-ever initiative involving youth in its seven-year history. Sarah has also organized one of the largest youth-led environmental hackathons globally with over 1000 participants and $42,000 in prizes awarded to youth to scale projects. An avid public speaker, Sarah has presented at numerous conferences including the United Nations, World Environmental Education Congress, AWE USA, and received several accolades, including being named the youngest Developer 30 Under 30, a National Nature Inspiration, and receiving 2x recognition from the Lieutenant Governor for her conservation
efforts and dedication to engaging youth in climate policy.
