Dan Martel is the President of Four Winds & Associates, one of Canada’s longest serving Indigenous consulting firms. With a career spanning over a three decades, Dan has been pivotal in supporting Indigenous Communities access energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainability funding, while supporting delivery of hundreds of distinct projects.
Currently, Dan is leading one of the Deep Retrofit Accelerator Initiatives (DRAI), a landmark program designed to remove barriers to large-scale energy retrofits. Under his leadership, Four Winds is providing critical energy efficiency support and technical capacity building to over 40 Indigenous organizations, encompassing a portfolio of more than 300 buildings. Dan’s work is defined by a commitment to bridging the gap between high-level sustainability goals and on-the-ground community needs, ensuring that Indigenous organizations have the tools and expertise to achieve long-term energy independence and building performance.
