Melanie Ross joined SAIT’s Green Building Technology Access Centre (GBTAC) team in 2019. She is responsible for overseeing business, strategy and research activities within the 16,000ft2 GBTAC Labs and Demonstration Centre, a Tech Access Canada funded initiative since 2013. Melanie brings 17 years of industry and academic experience to her role as the GBTAC Research Chair. She has an extensive background in delivering projects, policies, and strategies in green buildings across residential and commercial markets. Highly collaborative, Melanie supports projects and organizations across Canada and internationally. She also delivers conference presentations and workshops on many green-building topics on an annual basis as well as contributes to curriculum and workforce training development at SAIT and for industry.
