Sophie Tee is the director of the Buildings Division in the Office of Energy Efficiency (OEE) at Natural Resources Canada. In this role, she leads the federal government’s efforts to improve energy efficiency in large buildings, including through the development and implementation of the energy building codes, benchmarking and certification of energy performance, and the acceleration of deep retrofits. Prior to this role, Sophie was the Chief of Staff to the OEE and led the early development of the Canada Green Buildings Strategy. Sophie has also held senior analyst positions at Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada, setting up the Canada Infrastructure Bank, and the Department of Finance Canada, working on various economic development files and helping to coordinate the federal budget.
