The Halifax Climate Investment, Innovation and Impact (HCi3) Fund invests in an inclusive low carbon future for Halifax/Kjipuktuk as part of Canada’s goal to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, applying a ‘multi-solving’ approach to all our work. HCi3 works with partners to support meaningful climate solutions while also promoting equity, reconciliation and shared benefits for local communities. We seek to drive down urban greenhouse gas emissions through investments, grants, partnership and capacity building while promoting social equity, Reconciliation and community benefits, including job creation, affordability, resilience and a healthy environment. HCi3 is a subsidiary of EfficiencyOne, and one of seven non-profit organizations that, along with the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, make up the Low Carbon Cities Canada (LC3) Network established thanks to an endowment from the Government of Canada.
