Andy Cockburn is the Director of Training & Education at NAIMA Canada. He is a Red Seal General Carpenter with practical experience in custom home building, timber framing, stair construction, architectural drafting, and historic restoration. Andy taught with Algonquin College’s Perth Campus in their Construction Carpentry Advanced Housing program. In 2017, Andy earned his certification as a Passive House Consultant.
Andy is currently serving as President for the Lanark and Leeds Home Builders’ Association, as well as on the Board of Directors with B.C.’s Home Performance Stakeholder Council. Andy is also part of the ULC S700 Committee on Thermal Performance and Energy Use in the Built Environment and the CSA Technical Committee for development of Standard CSA Z301 on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in Apprenticeship Programs.
