Brent Downey is a Corporate Environmental Specialist with the City of Calgary’s Community Energy Programs team. He is the program manager for BenchmarkYYC, the City’s commercial building energy benchmarking program, and he is deeply involved with the design and implementation of several other greenhouse gas emissions reduction initiatives that span across the residential and commercial building sectors. Brent’s education and experiential background is rooted in building energy management, project management, renewable energy technology, and physical chemistry.
